What is Ultimate?

Ultimate is a team sport played with a disc (more commonly known as a Frisbee). Each team has seven players, playing on a field about half the width (37m) and the same length (100m) as a football or soccer field. The aim of the game is to connect passes between teammates (no running with the disc), and catch the disc in an end zone to score a point. Games are usually to about 15 points and last around 80 minutes. Ultimate involves a lot of running and jumping, and is a great way to get fit and stay fit. The skills required to throw and catch the disc are great for developing better fine motor skills and better eye-hand coordination.

Are you a gym teacher? Do you want to teach your kids how to play ultimate, but don't know how?

We want to help you out. We offer a coaching kit that includes a coaching guide and 10 discs for $100 + GST. We will also come into your school and teach ultimate for free, so that you and your students have a better understanding of the game, and so you can continue teaching ultimate to your students after we leave.

If you're interested in the kit and the clinic, email us at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it to set up a time for us to come in. We also highly recommend, although not required, that you purchase the kit so you can continue teaching ultimate after our clinic.

We look forward to working with you, and having you be a part of Juniors Ultimate in Calgary!
